I am often asked, ‘what is the best way to meditate?’ I have not taken any formal meditation classes so I will share with you my version. Do know that there are many ways to “get there” but the destination is always the same, a peaceful, open quiet mind, a relaxed body and a deep connection to your own inner knowing.
This is the 1 2 3 + method created by me, Deb Barrett, while being a student of energy for the past 26 years. Please read through to the bottom and then reread as you try it.
There are 3 things we need to be aware of to access a meditative state:our physical body, our mental state and our Spiritual connection. I’ll let you know about the + at the end.
The BODY: Briefly, your spine is your antenna so you want it to be straight and vertical connecting you to both the Earth and the Heavens. Check your form. Sit comfortably with feet flat on the floor at shoulders width, feel your chest rise up as if your heart were being lifted and see that your lower back is against the chair. Feel supported, think of your ‘tail’ flipping up and out behind you as you sit. Notice that your tailbone and 2 knees have created a triangle. This is your anchor to the Earth. Relax and get settled. Your breath is your vehicle when meditating. Place your right hand over your chest, your left hand on your belly. Breath in so that you feel your chest rise. Exhale slowly. Breath again and feel your belly expand. Exhale slowly. Sense the difference in these two different ways of breathing. When meditating we want to breathe from the belly, rhythmically, slow and deep.
The MIND: The imagination is very important here. We are going to use your powerful mind to imagine support, nurturing and peace. The body always follows the mind so it is important to be aware of where your thoughts go. We want to be filled with stillness, as when we stop thinking and just BE. This is usually where people get hung up. The mind is like an untamed animal, we need to repeatedly bring it back to a quiet state. To do this I use visualizations. First, imagine that there is a large ball of white light, over your head. Now think of your spine/antenna as extending out the top of your head with a plug on the end, now just plug it into this glowing light. Similarly, your tailbone and feet forming the triangle is a wide and stable triangular extension cord that you will imagine drops down, way, way down, into the center of the Earth. You can imagine a beautiful crystal there that you can plug into or tie onto. Sense the vertical column you have created. YOU are the Being that connects Heaven and Earth. Now, bring your attention to your forehead, specifically the inside of your forehead. With your eyes shut, look up toward your hairline or a little below. Breathe and breathe again. Have no expectations, just BE with yourself. Things are about to get very much better.
SPIRITual Connection: Some may not consider meditation a Spiritual activity but there is so much to be gained when we have the intention of connecting to the highest aspects of ourselves. My intention is that I will surrender to my own highest and best. I do this through my personal relationship with my Inner-Self. Some may call it God, intuition or their higher power. It’s a safe connection to this higher aspect of yourself. What you call it, really doesn’t matter. To gain access to this amazing piece of yourself takes practice. Just as lifting weights in a gym will develop your muscles, meditation is a form of strengthening your ability to ‘Plug In’ at will.
These are the 1 2 3 basics. I know, now you’re asking, ‘but what do I DO ?’ Well, there is no ‘doing’ in meditation. There is Being; Being with yourself, Being with your breath, Being with your life force. If you did not breathe, wouldn’t your body breathe for you? This is the energy that keeps you alive. This is the energy that you are becoming more aware of as you ‘Intend’ on meditating.
After you have got the basic line up you can add the + step which is circulating your energy. This is when we use our breath to focus and move our energy and repeat, repeat, repeat. For this exercise we will be breathing in as the energy ascends, comes up from the ground and breathing out as the energy descends from the Heavens. Think about it.
This is how you do it. Sit consciously as described, plug in above, plug in below. Bring your attention to your heart. Energy needs to flow to put us in touch with our best possible self. Think of an apple. Imagine that you are sitting in the core of the apple. The apple represents the shape of your electro-magnetic field, just like the electro-magnetic field of the Sun, our heart has an electro-magnetic field of it’s own. Interestingly the field of your heart far exceeds the field of your brain.
Now, in your minds eye, imagine you leave your heart and travel down your column of light to the center of the Earth. Here you hang out a moment and sense the life giving energy that is here. When you are ready, imagine that the energy begins to move up, up, up from the center of the Earth into the bottoms of your feet and your tailbone. It continues up your spine, eventually coming out the top of your head much like a fountain. Run the energy mentally, down over the outside of the apple shape, bringing it back up through your column and again out your head. Imagine this circular flow is 3 dimensional. Run this current repeatedly until you get the feel of it. ( With practice you will only need to do 3 or 4 rounds to feel the effects. )
Now, return to your heart and move up through the top of your head, up and into the White Light bubble. Hang out here a moment, feel the love and just like a waterfall, imagine that the energy rushes down into the top of your head, straight down to the ground / exhaling and comes up the sides of your apple / inhaling and back down your center. Run this current until you can feel it, see it, it’s alive, it’s you activating your higher senses, balancing and integrating your energy field.
The shape we have created energetically is called a Torus. We have created 2 currents of energy traveling in opposite directions, balancing our Divine nature with our Earthly bodies. Continue breathing and ‘RUNNING your energy’ until you are comfortable with the process. When you feel complete, come back to your heart and imagine that you tie the two currents together in a bow, Celtic knot or any other image that works for you. You have just connected and activated your Light Body. Congratulations ! Now you are ready to pose your query and access your creative potential by allowing the Creator to work through you. BE STILL and KNOW.
Hope you tried this out. Please let me know your progress. Practice, practice. Keep the door open. blessings deb
HEALING is an interesting subject. Anyone who is pained, sick, stuck, challenged, grieving or any other human condition of suffering is usually in a place of wanting to BE HEALED. Most think, “if I could only GET RID of this, I will be fine”.
Firstly, we NEVER get rid of anything. Don’t worry, it is when we change the FREQUENCY of it, that we see the shift and the condition seems to go away.
What has shifted, what has changed? It is our perception of the issue / ailment that has shifted and when this happens the body follows by returning to it’s natural state of health and balance.
So how long did it take you to find yourself within your current constraints? A week, a day, a year or possibly a lifetime?
When I work with people who would like to FEEL differently, it is important to recognize their individual mental constraints around their situation. To get to a place of personal power around our current circumstanceswe need TRUST. Trust in the process, in this case Vibro-Acoustics and Reiki and certainly a level of trust in me, your facilitator.
We talk and get to know each other. We discuss what is pertinent to you in relation to your issue. With this awareness comes an awakening and a reinstating of your personal power. YOUR power is what is important here. ALL healing is SELF Healing! Yes, it is lovely to have someone knowledgeable to hold the door OPEN for you, but it is you that will walk through that door.
What has the Power of THREE got to do with it? Three tends to be a magical number, in the sense that it adds a third leg, or stabilizing factor to the 2. Think of a triangle as opposed to 2 dots connected by a line.
Ultimately 3 sessions are necessary to move forward to a new place of stability in relation to your situation.
The first session is about REALIGNING with your Personal POWER and Divine Spark.
The second session is about INTEGRATION of the new energy of harmony within.
The third session is the STABILIZING factor, the coming together of all that you have learned and experienced both from our discussions and from your time within the womb of sound, the healing temple, the DreamWeaver.
Believe me, I would love to tell you that “in one session, you will be healed”, the fact is, it is determined by you and your belief system. If you truly believe that is all it takes, then that will be your reality. However, your trust, your commitment and your final outcome generally are based in repetition of a new way of being. Your self discovery process is uniquely your own.
THREE seems to be the magic number here. A series of 3 sessions booked closely together, approximately 10 days apart, has a resounding effect within the body. The body begins to remember what it is to be calm, feel safe. You begin to know your true nature and TRUST your inner knowing. From here it is all down hill in a very good way.
After 3 sessions you will discover that you have a rapport with not only me but more importantly with the Sound Healing environment. When you enter now, your body has a memory of previous mind expanding, body relaxing, Spirit releasing experience and you FLY home easily and quickly. The result is a deep sense of peace and a knowing that all is well in your world and you do not need to fix anything for your life to be a gift.
Repeat after me, OUT LOUD, I AM Healed, I AM Healed, I AM HEALED !
I sit and look out at the ocean, in my mind. Then I imagine that my highest aspect, “MY God-Self “ is sitting next to me. It is a simple tool that allows me to KNOW my own inner Strengths without trying too hard or having fear of failure.
YOU know….. if you are ready TO EMBRACE YOUR INNER STRENGTHS. Join me within the Dodecahedron for an immersion into theWomb of Sound. The healing sanctuary known as the DreamWeaver.

What Produces the Healing Power of Sound?
We can feel it when we turn on the radio and our favorite song happens to be playing, or when we sit quietly and listen to the rain. There is a palpable peace when we are absorbed in quiet and a different kind of rejuvenation when we hear the wind in the trees. There is no doubt that sound has subtle, but profound effects on our body, minds and spirits. How exactly does sound work, though, to heal us?
Just Like an Orchestra, You Can Tune Your Body
Have you ever listened to an orchestra prepare to play an invigorating symphony? There is a cacophony first with the woodwinds and strings, horns, and timpani making quite a ruckus, but when they tune their instruments precisely, the sound that washes over you like a wave, can bring peace and excitement that surpasses some of the most invigorating practices on earth – like sky diving, or dropping 45 feet into a hidden cave.
Sound is not unorganized chaos. It is a dynamic but ordered pattern. – Dr. Hans Jenny
The body works in much the same way. If a single instrument (organ, or organ system) is playing its own tune, and not in harmony with the rest of the body, disease is more likely to happen. As sound therapist, Dr. John Beaulieu, ND, PhD explains:
The fundamental principle of Energy Medicine is that an underlying energy field generates physical, emotional, and mental behaviors or symptoms. If we change the energy field, the physical, emotional, and mental behaviors will also change.
One of the most effective ways to change the energy field is through a science named cymatics. Though he was not the first to discover that sound could heal, Dr. Hans Jenny, M.D. of Basel Switzerland put together some fascinating experiments where we could literally ‘see’ how sound works.
Jenny created ‘cymatics’ when he put sand, fluid or some other powder on a metal plate that was attached to an oscillator. An oscillator is essentially a vibrator, but his oscillator was controlled by a generator that was able to produce many thousands of types of frequencies. Some of these can be found in nature, and others are created by man.
Powder on a metal plate, attached to an oscillator
By changing the frequencies on the oscillator, Jenny found that sand, or water or whatever substance he was using to create a visible medium for his sound, would morph into some very interesting shapes. These shapes mimicked the properties of divine geometry, and the higher the frequency, the more complex the shapes would appear to be. He wrote:
Since the various aspects of these phenomena are due to vibration, we are confronted with a spectrum which reveals a patterned, figurative formation at one pole and kinetic-dynamic processes at the other, the whole being generated and sustained by its essential periodicity.
What Jenny was observing was really a simple way of observing matter come to life. Since we now understand, through the emerging field of quantum physics, that patterns emerge via waves of energy, the plates were showing the scientist a similar phenomenon. In ancient Sumerian society, this was a known fact. This is why practices like mantra were held in high esteem. The seed syllable, OM, for example, causes a certain frequency to imprint upon the ‘matter’ around it, and thus changes the energetic field.
Abbot Philip Lawrence from Monastery of Christ In The Desert
“The kind of singing that we do calms the spirit and helps us live in peace with our world and with one another,” says Abbot Philip Lawrence, a scholar of chant who also leads the Monastery of Christ In The Desert – home to an American order of Benedictine monks from Abiquiu, New Mexico. “Chanting has some strange effect on the brain waves according to various studies,” continues Abbot Philip, but this effect is certainly not the Monks of the Desert’s objective; rather their goal, and that of Gregorian chant, notes Abbot Philip, is “to focus on the words rather than the challenge of voice production or sight reading. It is always our hope that our singing will bring others to peace, inner tranquility and an appreciation of beauty. These values can help create a world in which peace and tranquility prevail.”
Since all matter is just different frequencies of the collapsed wave, or quantum field, then we have the ability to create a different reality with sound.
Sound and the Golden Number
The possibility for great healing can be seen in the science of sound. The picture of the Sri Yantra, a mandala created by sound, and said to be imagined by a yogi in deep meditation, is a representation of one of the oldest sounds in the world. Some call it a manifestation of divine sound. The triangles that appear in the Sri Yantra are perfectly integrated based on the divine number, Pi, which is also the basis for the golden mean, Phi. The Greek philosopher, Pythagorus understood sound and divein geometry, and it was written about by Euclid in “Elements” around 300 B.C., by Luca Pacioli, a contemporary of Leonardo Da Vinci, in “De Divina Proportione” in 1509, by Johannes Kepler around 1600. Many others knew of this ‘cosmic’ mathematics, and its power to heal throughout the ages.
The harmonics of sound work to create order out of chaos
The harmonics of sound work to create order out of chaos. Disease, you might say, is a form of chaos in the body. According to Dr. Robert Friedman, the connection between the Golden Ratio and ideal health was a no-brainer. During his medial residency in the 1980s, Dr. Friedman began observing the Golden Ratio throughout the human body—on the anatomical, physiological, and molecular levels. “The deeper I looked,” said Friedman, “the more deeply I discovered this incredible and ubiquitous Code to be embedded throughout the structure and function of the body…it only followed that the more one could harmonize with this grand principle, the more efficient and effortless life could be.”
What is illness?
Emotional issues that are unresolved block the healing vibrations or cause the disease state to return.
– R Gordon
Over millennia, those who have studied the science of sound, have come to understand that certain frequencies are very healing for the human body. Overall, however, you are trying to create resonance – “When two systems are oscillating at different frequencies, there is an impelling force called resonance that causes the two to transfer energy from one to another. When two similarly tuned systems vibrate at different frequencies, there is another aspect of this energy transfer called entrainment, which causes them to line up and to vibrate at the same frequency.” (Richard Gordon)
Certain frequencies are very healing for the human body
When we ‘entrain’ with healing frequencies, our bodies and minds vibrate in harmony. These include:
285 Hz – Signals cells and tissues to heal. Leaves the body feeling rejuvenated. 396 Hz – Liberates guilt and fear to make way for higher vibrating emotions. 417 Hz – Allows the ‘undoing’ of challenging situations. 528 Hz – Said to heal DNA, repair cells, and awaken consciousness 639 Hz – This is the vibration associated to the heart. It allows feelings of love for self and ‘other’ until there is no longer a distinction. To balance relationships, listen to this frequency. 741 Hz – Said to clean the cells and heal them from exposure to electromagnetic radiation. Helps shift someone into empowerment so they can create the reality they wish to see. 852 Hz – Awakens intuition. 963 Hz – Activates the pineal gland, and aligns the body to its perfect, original state. Of course, there are further frequencies, many of which that are not even within the human range of hearing, but they are healing nonetheless. George Lakhovsky, a Russian engineer understood the power of sound as well. He understood that certain frequencies would make a living being grow stronger. I hope you are able to find healing in the frequencies I’ve described, and that this introduction to why sound heals will spur you to learn more.
At the root of all power and motion, there is music and rhythm, the play of patterned frequencies against the matrix of time. We know that every particle in the physical universe takes its characteristics from the pitch and pattern and overtones of its particular frequencies, its singing. Before we make music, music makes us.
– Joachim-Ernst Berendt, The World is Sound
The Sri Yantra is a 12,000 year old symbol and is considered the mother of all Yantras. Yantras are geometrical designs based on the principles ofsacred geometry and are used for meditation. Each yantra design contains a centre point or “dot” from which geometric shapes and designs radiate. Traditionally, such symbols are used to balance the left and right aspects of the brain, focus our minds or to focus on spiritual concepts to obtain spiritual benefit. It is even rumoured that Nikola Tesla, with his fractal mind, would see the Sri Yantra in blinding flashes!
‘Yantra meditation helps us clear the content of our consciousness so it can become a pure mirror, reflecting without interpreting. All That Is exists infinitely in this emptiness, this no-thing-ness. When the mirror of our consciousness is left without any content, this is enlightenment’
The Sri Yantra is considered to be the tool for obtaining and fulfilling all worldly desires and for material manifestation. I like to think that this is through increasing our focus and by clearing our minds so that we may see our goals clearly. My personal experience of it, whilst meditating upon the symbol, my life became a story playing out in front of me and I felt a sense of clarity. It was an effective way of ‘spring cleaning’ my brain and re-focusing it!
The Sri Yantra is a mathematically precise design and based upon Golden Proportion or Phi ratio. Everything that exists in nature, is constructed in a proportionately precise manner and this proportion is called the Golden/Phi ratio. It is a simple mathematical relationship found naturally and in many great works of art (Leonardo Di Vinci’s Vitruvian man and The Mona Lisa) and even architecture such as the positioning of the Pyramids of Giza.
The beauty of someone’s face is also based upon these Golden Proportions, and even the shape and position of their front teeth (felt obliged to throw that one in being a Dentist!). Apple use Golden Proportion when designing their products to make them more appealing to the customers eyes. Our bodies are also roughly based on this Golden Proportion (which, for the mathematicians is 1.618 and based on the Fibonacci sequence). In simple terms, the Golden Ratio suggests that everything, starting from the tiniest speck, expands and grows in proportions of 1.618, from a microscopic level to a macroscopic level for increased stability and beauty. Famous mathematicians, such as Pythagorus, also commented on the Golden Ratio and it being the blueprint applied to all of creation.
The image above shows how the Fibonacci sequence/Golden ratio plays a role in nature. Even sound and our hearing follows this same ratio. The image below shows our auditory system. Notice how the shape of the auditory canal follows the Golden Proportion. The finest music known to man is also based on Golden Proportion.
Do some more homework on Phi/Fibonacci ratios if you wish! Spirit Science have a great video explaining a bit more about Golden Proportions HERE
The Sri Yantra means “holy instrument” and can also be known as the Sri Chakra or “holy wheel”. It contains all form of sacred geometry/golden ratio, is mathematically precise and can also represent the union of the Divine Masculine and Feminine (The upward triangles meeting the downward triangles). This unity of Masculine (or left brain) and Feminine (or right brain) is also seen in other symbols such as the Star of David. This unity, or synchronicity, is achievable through meditation (see article on how meditation creates left/right brain synchronisation HERE)
The Sri Yantra also looks strikingly similar to the Star of David or a star tetrahedron. Check out the image below:
This yantra is seen to have nine triangles that can be interlaced in such a way as to form 43 smaller triangles like a web; this web can be symbolic of the entire cosmos. It is closely associated with the Flower of Life which is also the blueprint for the creation of matter, sound and consciousness.Effectively everything is formed from this blueprint. Below is an example of how the Flower of Life plays a role in the formation of human beings at an embryonic stage, this pattern is repeated throughout nature:
Staring at the central dot or ‘bindu’ of the Sri Yantra is known and proven to create changes within the brain and the stimulation of the Pineal gland by focussing our attention on the ‘3rd eye’ area. The Pineal gland is a small endocrine gland in the brain. It produces melatonin, a serotonin derived hormone, which affects the modulation of sleep patterns in both seasonal and circadian rhythms. Its shape resembles a tiny pine cone (hence its name), and it is located in the epithalamus, near the center of the brain, between the two hemispheres, tucked in a groove where the two halves of the thalamus join. René Descartes believed the pineal gland to be the “principal seat of the soul” and viewed it as the third eye.
Check out the emphasis on the Pine cone in various architecture from around the world. Coincidence? I think not!:

Interesting Facts about the Pineal Gland:
* The pineal gland is formed at 49 days within the human embryo: the same time that Tibetans believe it takes for a soul to reincarnate. And the same amount of days that the human embryo becomes either male or female.
* In the ancient Vedic energy system of the chakras, the pineal gland is referred to as the ‘Ajna’ or ‘3rd Eye’ chakra. Modern studies reveal that the gland contains rods and cones – just like those found in the retina of your eyes! This is why when you visualize something strongly enough, you can literally see it “in your mind’s eye.”
*Your pineal gland receives more blood flow per cubic area than any other gland in your body. In other words, compared to all your other organs – including your lungs, your heart and your brain – this tiny little gland gets the highest concentration of energy. Hmm…
* Studies show your pineal gland secretes a substance calledDimethyltriptamine (DMT). The interesting thing about DMT is that it causes experiences which can take you well beyond common states of awareness. This is perhaps why the pineal gland is known in many cultures as the ‘Seat of the Soul’, the ‘Gateway to the Universe’, the ‘Mind’s Eye’ and the ‘Doorway to Higher Realms’.
* Your pineal gland is also important to your physical and mental health, and its wellbeing has been linked to memory, creativity, intuition and critical thinking skills. It is also sensitive to light and plays an important role in your sleep and waking cycles. When light strikes the retina of your eyes, it travels through a tiny nerve system and into the gland. When the lights go off, it sends a signal to the pineal gland to begin secreting melatonin, which activates your nervous system to go into sleep mode.
The Sri Yantra is considered to be a symbol of immense power partly because when you meditate for prolonged periods on it, you focus your attention on the area between you eyebrows which stimulates the pineal gland. This then increases the alpha brain wave activity (this fact is based on controlled EEG studies at Moscow University!). The Sri Yantra (amongst other forms of Pineal gland stimuli) and the Pineal gland complement and serve each other, and harnessing them in tandem could be the most important thing you ever do for your superhuman self!
How do I meditate on a Yantra?
It is thought that prior to being incarnated into this dense, third dimensional level, on a higher dimensional level, we had to become masters of manifestation. It is also thought that as little as 5 minutes of meditation on this symbol a day, can help us to reach that goal. Check out Project Yourselfto find out how Amish Shah, a multi millionaire, did it!
(Please note – Manifestation should only be carried out to achieve the HIGHEST GOOD in all cases)
1. Position the yantra so its centre is at eye level and a comfortable distance away. Sit with your spine straight. Breathe in and out slowly until your breath flows naturally.
Begin with your eyes open, simply gazing at the yantra. Look at the center or ‘dot’ which represents the unity that underlies all the diversity of the physical world. The key is to maintain a receptive, alert frame of mind, without drawing any conclusions, and free of concepts or thoughts. As you feel yourself gathering consciousness, allow yourself to flow with the momentum of this consciousness.
2. Now allow your eyes to see the triangle that encloses the bindu. The downward pointing triangle represents the feminine creative power, while the upward facing triangle represents male energy.
3. Allow your vision to expand to include the circles outside of the triangles. They represent the cycles of cosmic rhythms. The image of the circle embodies the notion that time has no beginning and no end.
4. Bring your awareness to lotus petals outside the circle. Notice that they are pointing outwards, as if opening. They illustrate the unfolding of our understanding.
5. The square at the outside of the yantra represents the material world that our senses show us and the illusion of separateness via the well defined edges and boundaries. At the periphery of the figure are four T-shaped portals, or gateways. Notice that they point toward the interior of the yantra, the inner spaces of life. They represent our earthly passage from the external and material to the internal and sacred.
6. When your awareness begins to shift inward, close your eyes. Now watch the yantra imprinted in your mind’s eye, allowing it to gradually guide you within.
7. Do nothing, and you will find yourself participating in pure consciousness without the mind defining it.
8. The patterns of creativity represented by these primordial shapes express the fundamental forces of nature. They govern the world and they govern you. When you are ready, you may wish to take a deep breath, begin to move your toes and fingers, open your eyes, and become aware of your surroundings once again.

Exploration and Discovery / DreamWeaver Certification Report
May 1996 – July 1998 by Deb Barrett 1998 Artist and DreamWeaver Facilitator
I write these words in honor of perpetual change and our human capacity to fearlessly straddle multi-dimensional reality. As we move forward with great hope, we receive encouragement from our grander selves. These creator Gods within us all are constantly in action, trickling down love, energy and life itself. To them we are inextricably connected and I give great thanks.
After having worked with the DreamWeaver for a year and just coming out of a major shift, (5-97), brought on by my own cathartic experience within the DreamWeaver, it seems no better time than now to write of my experiences with this powerful tool.
The Need to SHIFT:
We move through life at many speeds, each unique to the individual and particular experience. To be stagnant is to die. When we are ready, we shift into our new/present selves. It is my experience that many things contribute to our development, some things are subtle, others more direct. The DreamWeaver is one of those things that really grabbed me , allowing no time or need to resist, its potential so obvious after only 4 minutes.
What I have learned is simply, that to release our deepest concepts of “Who We Are”, is to provide ourselves with a sense of true reality. That all is good and precisely right at all times. That our feelings of vulnerability and loss are key to our growth. Holding only slows the inevitable realization of who we really are.
Who AM I?
I am a light worker. A ten year Reiki practitioner and Master, an artist. The most important thing that qualifies me as a “healer”, is my life experience. Having worked through emotional trauma and loss, I knew that all of it had to have purpose. I’ve come to see it as my training to support others in their growth.
I know through my own experience that we can only heal ourselves and that our most valid truth can only come from within. Had I not been challenged at a young age to discover this I would not have had the solid base to then work with Reiki and eventually the DreamWeaver.
My unique way of extending light to others comes through my artwork. I create Healing Images to be used as open eye meditation pieces. A reminder; a visual soul impression of the person at his best. This image of themselves whole and empowered helps them to energetically remember their true higher nature, they become aligned with their soul essence.
My other tool is the DreamWeaver, whose sacred space reached out and took me to a place of knowing, knowing that this was my work and that I had been guided through the artwork to this place. I now bring both these tools to the general public through health and healing expos., a local church task force on healing and spirituality, metaphysical bookstores and teaching centers, as well as local Boards of Health, Health Awareness Days and Hospital Senior Wellness events. This work is so exciting to me because I’ve been blessed with opportunities to insert my work, that of increasing the vibrational frequency of humanity, into mainstream consciousness.
DreamWeaver Discovery / My Personal Experience:
The DreamWeaver met me on the path in May of 1996. I had just drawn the image of a pentagon within a circle, at the sides were rose swirls of love, inside was the all-knowing eye.
Two weeks later I was exhibiting my artwork. In the next booth was the DreamWeaver, a 12 sided sphere of pentagons. I was drawn to the beauty of it immediately still not realizing the significance of what had just entered my life. At the end of that day I entered the DreamWeaver for the first time. To me it was as if I had been given wings, life poured into me. There was a very strong knowing that this sacred space was what I had come to share. To me it was 10 Reiki sessions in one.
Two weeks later I was putting together the dodecahedron and saturating myself with sound. My body responded to the tension in my back and in my heart. I thought I had gone through the losses and the emotional pain enough times to feel more comfortable with it bu my body was telling me otherwise. I found that my body had to move through it. Understanding this as a healing process I just went with it and let it talk to me. About 10 days later I felt clear.
My most significant SHIFT:
For myself the most significant shift came through a combination of tremendous trust in my facilitator Benedick, as well as my ability to “Dance” with the energy within the DreamWeaver, especially my breath.
After working on myself extensively within the DreamWeaver, as well as having facilitated 65-70, 1 and 1/2 hr. sessions with clients, I found myself in a place of needing to be facilitated myself in order to go to those places that I could not yet see. The opportunity presented itself and I jumped. My analogy here is to a trapeze artist, except this stunt would be performed without the prior knowledge of the outcome. This can be scary, so my intention had to be TRUST.
I am as of this writing still settling into the newness of each moment, (June 97).
In the process I let go of so much of myself that I truly had no center and could only be still to see where I would land. My issues of abandonment, loss and grief were things I again thought I had worked on, when in reality I had looked at them but still carried them. As my body shook out on the table I realized how much I was still holding. Through my breathing and sounding, Ben’s encouragement and of course the music, these blocks were literally carried out of me, leaving what I experienced as a tremendous void.
If in truth we are 99.9999% free space, then with me new awareness, what would I choose to fill that space with? Of course what came to me was sparking light and love, pure energy and vitality. As I see the moon rising now and am putting my thoughts to the page I realize with great relief that I will easily integrate with this new way of being.
How Do I stay Clear?
In order to work as a DreamWeaver facilitator and indeed to be effective in my everyday life there is the need to stay clear. For me this is about awareness first because with the broadness of perspective comes choice, understanding and peace. The more we stay in tuned with ourselves, our greater selves, the more naturally and effortlessly we flow with each moment.
I’m sure I was like most facilitators when I first started to work with this special space. I wanted to know how, why, which one and when. My little mind grasping at every bit of information. Luckily aside from the words about it, the DreamWeaver has an education of its own for you, one that cannot be verbalized yet is the most significant in my mind. Here I am speaking of the magic. For me, as I released more and more of myself into each moment within the DreamWeaver I found that I could choose to do this more and more naturally outside of the space.
So, as for clearing, I have moved from basking daily in the DreamWeaver to dancing in front of my stereo. The energy has truly moved into my spine and radiates throughout my entire field. I am able to consciously move old layers of my onion off of myself in rapid succession leaving a shiny new me exposed. This is great fun! It is very much like what I feel when I’m working with people, the most powerful waves being created by very clear people, energy workers and those who have remembered their connection.
Experience as a Facilitator – Compassion vs. Sympathy:
As a facilitator I have found that there are may different perspectives that we can have while doing DreamWeaver work. My intention is always to open the person’s heart to themselves. This is however also colored by my level of involvement, knowingly or unknowingly, and the ease factor. I am referring to dynamically moving energy. It can be manipulated or allowed to flow with intent. The ‘ease factor’ refers to how comfortably and easily I can help this person receive what they came for.
When I look at the two words, sympathy and compassion, I find that although they are somewhat synonymous, my lean is to see sympathy as a more affected place. The facilitator takes into his field in some way the vibration of the other. My own experience of this is that during a session I would quite spontaneously meet the vibration of the client and naturally raise the frequency. If I got stuck it was because I myself still had work to do on that issue or energy center. I was thinking myself clear instead of reeling in the GRACE. This took much longer and was much less comfortable.
The word compassion is more of a centered place. A place of holding the light for another in a way that does not require the change in frequency. I hold the image in my heart’s mind of the other person at their best. This opens the door energetically for them to step into that probable reality. I have no need to protect myself in any way from taking on their stuff because I’ve stepped out of the loop. I am present for them in the capacity of my highest self. “There is nothing that I am not”, is how it was put to me by spirit.
I have mentioned earlier that I believe all healing comes from within. I have found that I love to talk to my clients about their perspectives on life, however I can say that the most significant bits of information come from within each individual. Here are a few that come to mind.
All I have to do is give myself PERMISSION!
I never knew that all I ever really wanted was PEACE.
Someone is saying “I love you”.
There is a part of me that is always whole, I had forgotten.
I am my own child.
The idea is not to heal. The idea is to LOVE!
No one particular event is any more useful or significant than any other.
I can love myself just as I AM.
Ultimately, the only questions are:
How much do you love yourself?
How much do you trust the universe?
You are the creator of the dream.
What dream will you create?
Simultaneous realities, simply change the channel or use simultaneous viewing.
Let it go! You’ve got it!
We’re all ignorant in some way, and that’s loveable too.
If my hair is falling out, then I’M not growing.
I have a right to my feelings.
I can unconditionally LOVE MYSELF.
Everything is a choice, and they are all “good”.
Stop pretending you don’t know who you are.
And my most profound knowing is that:
I am as wise as the wisest being that I have ever known, physically of otherwise, and I am as confused as the most mixed up client I have ever had.
In my practice I primarily see women. I have to say that I’ve come up with what might seem to be a rash generalization but it is obvious to me energetically in as much as 80% of my clients. The pattern is this: impacted energy around the throat is reflected by impacted energy around the 2nd chakra.
The opposite colors, blue and orange, going around and around without getting anywhere. The desire to be accepted has led many not to speak their truth and therefore they are not particularly fruitful with physical creations either.
I have seen this dance of opposing colors in cases of extreme fear also. The lack of red, safety and courage, creates on the other end, the head with falling hair, and the lack of perceivable access to spirit, violet and white.
Using the Human Voice within the DreamWeaver:
The DreamWeaver has certainly opened my throat. As I have become more and more comfortable with the work I’ve found that I unconsciously have begun toning during each session. I encourage each person to use their voice during the session as well. If they are unsure I invite them to hum at first. Their participation being a sure way to move things along. I am trying to teach people that they need only to remember that they can rearrange themselves energetically whenever they desire with the use of sound, particularly their own voice.
For myself I’ve found that I tend toward singing harmonious, sustained tones during my work, I’ve also found a single clap useful in quickly reconfiguring energy. Other sounds that seem to come out are a deep buzzing sound and a guttural clicking sound. These effects have come about spontaneously as spirit takes over the session.
Healing Images received within the DreamWeaver:
At one point Benedick asked me to see what I might see in the DreamWeaver environment while I was with a client. The client, we’ll call her K is really a loving, sensitive sort. Off nurturing others and generally a little timid toward her life, still seeing herself as a victim in many ways. Most of the colors that I saw with her were soft greens and roses, some peach.
This particular day she was in the middle of her 5th session. I turned around remembering to ask for an image for K. I have to say I was quite surprise: when the enormous cobra lifted its head. My understanding of this seemingly contrasting image is that it truly represented her antitheses and therefore what she needed to integrate. It is interesting that she has not come back for her 6th session though she has paid for it. I assume she has not integrated with her power.
Another image that came to me personally while in the DreamWeaver is the one representing POSSIBILITY. The turquoise diamond at the bottom is me. My realization, that I can virtually go anywhere, being represented by the inter-connected diamonds. My possible choices showing as the yellow lines. I can then see myself moving to the higher planes, the violets, in any combination I choose. This made me laugh out loud realizing it is just that simple.
The final image (below) is one that I received while my intention was BALANCE, a favorite one of mine. I was reminded of the beauty of balance while I had the DreamWeaver at a center doing 5 minute intros. Two little girls were off to the side, they were about five. I invited them in, as they moved nearer, the bubbly one jumped onto the mat, tipping back and landing on the floor on the other side. The other came over with a little encouragement. The girls were twins.
The mom shared with me that the one that bounced off the floor was hyper and on medication for this. The second child was quite serious and seemed almost disturbed by life. After the first few minutes, the serious twin climbed out. I changed the music to Michael Franks, String of Pearls, a lovely soothing song about hearts.
The bubbly child lied down on the mat, knees coming up to her chest. Within the first minute the serious twin asked to come back in. She climbed in as her sister gently moved over to share the space. They faced each other mirroring in posture. They reminded me of the two sides of a heart, together they made perfect balance. The mom was so surprised by this saying she had never seen the bubbly twin this way. After they had left I wished I had suggested that the children sleep together with harmonious music to fly by.
I wanted to share this story because it is so analogous to how I see the DreamWeaver works with individuals. They find their balance, quite naturally, remembering their connection to spirit, to the silent receptive side of themselves, to their SOURCE, to the real magic that they are!
My Vision for the Future:
The most important concept that I see shifting in the world of healing is that someone else or something else heals us. This thought form encourages people to give away their power.
I see centers for healing in the future as places where each individual is trained to be a healer, but that it is clear that the only client they will ever have is themselves. This puts humanity back to unity. Each person healing themselves in turn heals that aspect in all of their surrounding reality.
If we are to be guides for others in the “How To” of wellness there can be no room for ego, in the sense of taking credit for another’s state. So in my future I will be part of a group dedicated to nurturing awareness of the whole, the holiness of life. This will be a place where people will be reminded of their responsibility for everything they perceive as their lives.
The connection to our higher aspects will be facilitated through sound environments such as the DreamWeaver. Sacred Geometry will be used to encourage interdimentional work and sunlight reflected through crystals into the eyes will feed frequency imbalances and depletions in the field.
Love will be the primary tool in this environment. Self love will be generated through beauty. Creativity will be emphasized as a way to find the love and harmony that exists in us all.
DreamWeavers will be used by all who do medical work to clear and center themselves before they do any work on the physical form. Love will abound. Disharmony will be a remembered act of the play that can be experienced by choice but that is no longer the norm. We will be operating at out highest potential thus encouraging other to do the same.
Not everyone I’ve worked with has been as ripe as I was for growth, but with my experiences of the past two years I have received a tremendous gift. I can now hold for others the space that naturally allows a non-judgmental assessment of self. Pure love is what is remembered and nurtured in anyone who has the privilege to step into this magical space.
So my intention as I continue to facilitate others is to open their hearts to themselves, to see them let go their hold of that trapeze bar of their personal reality long enough to grab hold of their present/future selves. To bring this loving being that they are clearly into focus that it may permeate their entire lives!
To Ben, I would like to say Thank You !
My ability to know myself has been greatly enhanced by your gift to the world.
